“dead amp” are the longtime friends Simone Ramos and Victor Ferreira, a duo that also releases music under their own projects ordalie, Sun Glitters, and CLD.RAN. In the 2000s, Ramos and Ferreira used to play together in indie-post-rock bands — the duo found together again to produce music without guitar and bass amps, hence the name “dead amp” — their music can be described as electronic/experimental/noise sounds and sample collage to be consumed for sure but with moderation.

Their debut 4 track EP was mainly produced via exchanged audio files shared by the duo in ping pong mode until they were satisfied with the result. The duo mainly used the OP-1, the iPad apps Borderlands Granular and SpaceCraft Granular Synth, Guitar pedals effects and Ableton beat repeat random process.
